For one night only, the YOSA Philharmonic celebrates the timeless music of ABBA! Backed by a full orchestra, four of San Antonio’s finest pop vocalists will reimagine ABBA’s greatest hits with a fresh orchestral twist. Sing along to timeless favorites like “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “Super Trooper,” “Waterloo,” and many more in this unforgettable night of music.
ABBA’s legacy as one of the most successful pop bands of all time includes over 400 million records sold worldwide, countless chart-topping hits, and a lasting influence on music, theater, and film. The Swedish supergroup captured hearts from their Eurovision win with “Waterloo” in 1974 to their record-breaking musical and movie franchise. Now, hear their music like never before, reimagined with a full orchestra.
Youth Orchestras of San Antonio continues its Classic Albums Live series with this performance, reinventing classic rock and pop songs with orchestral accompaniment, following past celebrations of Prince, Queen, the Beatles, and Selena. Don’t miss this rare chance to experience ABBA’s beloved pop masterpieces in a whole new way with the YOSA Philharmonic!

SOLD OUT: A Holiday Spectacular
Join Youth Orchestras of San Antonio (YOSA) and the Children's Chorus of San Antonio (CCSA) for an evening filled with classic Christmas songs and other holiday favorites in “A Holiday Spectacular.”

Concerto Competition
YOSA musicians will compete for the chance to perform as a soloist with the YOSA Philharmonic during the 2024/25 concert season.
The competition features technically challenging and interpretive performances of concertos, concert pieces, or ensemble works, each up to 10 minutes in length.
The YOSA Concert Competition is open to YOSA Philharmonic musicians, saxophonists or euphonium players in YOSA Wind Ensemble, and high school seniors in YOSA Symphony or Wind Ensemble.
The winner will perform their selected piece with the YOSA Philharmonic in a memorable, live performance in “YOSA Presents: Firebird Dance” on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
Last year’s 2023/24 YOSA Concerto Competition winner, Lucy Hartzler-Beachy, violin, performing during “YOSA Presents: Wildlife Harmonies” on May 12, 2024.

2024 YOSA Germany Tour
In June 2024, YOSA will embark on a tour to Germany, performing concerts in Berlin, Leipzig, and Darmstadt. YOSA musicians will have the chance to perform in and visit cities where composers like Bach, Mendelssohn, and Schumann lived and worked. This will be a remarkable educational and cultural experience for eligible YOSA musicians.
