An audition is required to join YOSA for the 2026/27 season. All YOSA auditions are free. For more information, contact registration@yosa.org.

There’s a place for all musical youth at YOSA with two advanced orchestras, wind ensemble, flute choir, mariachi, and six levels of strings.

Audition Process
Register and schedule your audition time slot; all auditions are free.
View the excerpts and requirements for your instrument and practice your audition music.
Arrive at your audition on time and take the stage! Auditions will be held in-person at San Pedro Presbyterian Church, on May 26-30, 2026.
Audition results and placement acceptance instructions will be emailed to families after 1-3 weeks.
Eligibility
All string players ages 8-20 with at least one year of experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass.
Flute players ages 8-20 with at least one year of experience.
All other woodwind, brass, percussion, and harp players ages 13-20 with at least two years of experience.
Participation in your school music program is mandatory.
Home-schooled students are welcome.

Summer Symphony Camp
Musicians who audition can enroll in Summer Symphony Camp as late as 2 days before camp starts. Musicians who participate in Summer Symphony Camp can use their camp audition for the season, and can also enroll in YOSA Orchestras until September 1, 2026.
