Tessa Gartin
Administrative & Office Manager
Tessa is a San Antonio native, YOSA alum, and classically trained clarinetist with a passion for nonprofit leadership, arts administration, and music education. She currently serves as the Administrative & Office Manager at Youth Orchestras of San Antonio (YOSA), where she supports day-to-day operations, cross-department collaboration, and initiatives that help staff, students, and families thrive.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Southern Methodist University and her Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Maryland, she began her career in music education before finding her way into nonprofit work. She enjoys bringing her background in music, education, and organization together to help people, programs, and communities thrive.
Outside of YOSA, she teaches a small private clarinet studio and performs with the Heart of Texas Concert Band and Prickly Pear Clarinet Ensemble. When she’s not making music, she enjoys practicing yoga, watching movies, exploring San Antonio with her fiancé, Richard, and spending time with their dog, Reagan, and cat, Gershwin.
