Sara Vicinaiz joined YOSA in 2018 and currently serves as Director of Student Experience. A native of the Rio Grande Valley, she holds a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from the University of North Texas and a Master of Arts in Musicology from Indiana University. In her role at YOSA, Sara leads operational and strategic planning for YOSA programs, fosters collaboration across departments, builds partnerships with music educators and community organizations, and works to ensure every student has an engaging and equitable experience. She is passionate about expanding access to high-quality arts education and helping young musicians thrive both on and off the stage. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, yoga, and spending time with her husband Erik, daughter Isabel, and cat Gracie.
