Classics I: Metamorphosis - November 1, 2026

YOSA Philharmonic opens its 50th season with Classics I: Metamorphosis, featuring alum composer Ethan Gurwitz’s world premiere made expressly for YOSA, graduate pianist Christopher Guzman as soloist in Gershwin’s Concerto in F, Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis, and an appearance by YOSA Mariachi. This program celebrates musical transformation as past and present converge on stage.

Pops I – YOSA & CCSA Present: A Holiday Spectacular - December 19, 2026

A Holiday Spectacular returns for its third year of festive favorites that will warm your heart and uplift your spirit. Join the YOSA Philharmonic and the angelic voices of the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio for a joyful celebration of the season.

Classics II: Voices of Nature - February 28, 2027

The natural world comes alive in sound with the YOSA Philharmonic and San Antonio Mastersingers. Featuring Gabriela Ortiz's Kauyumari, Borodin's Polovtsian Dances, the world premiere of a new choral-orchestral work by YOSA Music Director Troy Peters, and a performance by the 2026/27 YOSA Concerto Competition winner, this inspiring program celebrates the power and beauty of nature through music, with an appearance by YOSA Concertino Strings.

Pops II – YOSA Presents: Jukebox 1977 - March 13, 2027

Step into the ultimate time capsule with the YOSA Philharmonic! Celebrate the iconic music of 1977 with local San Antonio rock bands and a full orchestra performing reimagined hits like “Stayin’ Alive,” “Dreams,” “Hotel California,” “Barracuda,” and more. As part of YOSA’s 50th anniversary season, Jukebox 1977 pays tribute to the year it all began, bringing the soundtrack of a generation to life through the talent and energy of today’s young musicians.

Classics III: 50th Anniversary Celebration - May 16, 2027

Sunday, May 16, 2027, Celebrate YOSA’s 50th Anniversary with a spectacular concert featuring acclaimed alumna Christine Lamprea as soloist in Kabalevsky’s Cello Concerto No. 1, an expanded orchestra of current musicians and alumni performing Khachaturian’s Masquerade Suite, selections from Holst’s The Planets, and a special appearance by YOSA Intermezzo Strings.
