Symphony Camp
YOSA Summer Symphony Camp offers young musicians a place to hone their skills, meet new friends, and learn great music! From San Antonio Philharmonic musicians to local orchestra directors, our camp faculty is comprised of the best musicians and instructors. This year YOSA will offer twelve camp sessions for musicians from ages 8-18. Click the link below to sign up for your camp session today.
Week 1 Camp Sessions

YOSA Band Camp
Take your band skills to the next level with instruction from top local pros and experienced music educators, culminating in a fun concert.
YOSA High School String Orchestra Camp
Join us for the most musically advanced high school string orchestra summer experience in South Texas, culminating in a fun concert conducted by YOSA faculty conductors.
YOSA Elementary String Camp
A fun chance for younger string players to make music with their peers, playing together in small and large groups and exploring other musical activities.
YOSA Exploring Music
for Elementary Students
No previous musical training or instrumental experience is required for this fun week making music with voices and a variety of instruments.

YOSA Orchestra X Camp
Explore string music from beyond the classical repertoire, incorporating rock, pop, Broadway, and Latin grooves, plus the chance to jam with a powerful rhythm section of guitar and drums.
YOSA Middle School String
Orchestra Camp
Middle school string players will have a great time as they advance their skills with a fun week of orchestra rehearsals, sectional coaching, and other musical activities.
YOSA Cello Intensive
A focused week for teen cellists to advance their instrumental skills and make music together, led by San Antonio Philharmonic Principal Cellist Kenneth Freudigman.
YOSA Jazz
and Big Band Camp (NEW!)
Take your jazz and big band skills to the next level with instruction from top local pros and experienced music educators, culminating in a fun concert.

YOSA Mariachi Camp
Mariachi players are invited to spend a fun week learning new songs and polishing their skills.
YOSA Composition Seminar
Compose your own music, learn how to use notation software, and hear what you write played by professional performers.
YOSA Trumpet Intensive (NEW!)
A focused week for teen trumpeters to advance their instrumental skills and make music together.
YOSA Steel Drum Camp
The quintessential sound of the Caribbean, steel drum bands were born in Trinidad and Tobago. Explore this colorful, rhythmic style!

YOSA Summer Symphony Camp 2024 will be held at Saint Mary’s Hall (9401 Starcrest Dr, San Antonio, TX 78217).
Camp session times are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Camp Tuition
YOSA Summer Symphony Camp 2024 tuition is $435 for a one-week session. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per camper is due at the time of enrollment. All camp tuition is due June 10, 2024.
Additional Services
This year, YOSA will offer a lunch option, supplying campers with a cafeteria meal every day of camp for an additional $50.00.
YOSA will also offer extended drop-off hours from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and extended pick-up hours from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm for an additional $50.
Camp Financial Aid
YOSA is committed to making our activities accessible for families, regardless of financial constraints. Financial aid is offered as part of camp enrollment and is based on a family’s income, household size, and other family or financial circumstances. Families can expect strict confidentiality regarding their aid application and results. Every effort will be made to meet the needs of young musicians and their families.
The Financial Aid Application can be found on your YOSA dashboard on the “Forms” page. Priority consideration will be given to those who apply by Friday, May 24, 2024. Applications submitted after May 24, 2024, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact registration@yosa.org with questions.
Camp Placement Auditions
Some YOSA Summer Symphony Camp sessions require an audition to determine the musician’s placement within camp. All musicians enrolling in a camp session that requires a placement audition should enroll in an audition time slot at THIS LINK HERE. Please contact camp@yosa.org with any questions.
