How much does camp cost?

Camp cost is $465. You must pay your $75 deposit* upon registering. The remainder of the balance is due by June 2, 2017.

When is camp?

Camp runs June 12-23, 2017 (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday) with a final concert on Friday, June 23.

The final concert will take place at 4 p.m. at the historic Majestic Theater located in downtown, San Antonio.

Are there extended hours of camp?

Yes, extended care is offered for campers whose transportation is not available during regular camp hours. Extended care offers supervision as early as 8 a.m. and as late as 5 p.m. for a small $50 added fee.

Do I have to audition to go to YOSA Summer Symphony Camp?

No, you do not have to audition to be a part of the YOSA Summer Symphony Camp. However, you will need to take part in an ensemble placement audition during YOSA Orchestras season auditions on June 1-6, 2017. This audition will help place you in an orchestra appropriate for your ability level.

Do you offer tuition assistance?

Yes, YOSA provides tuition assistance in the hope that no student will be turned away due to financial circumstances. The application deadline for tuition assistance for 2017 YOSA Summer Symphony Camp is May 19, 2017**.

Are there age limits for YOSA Summer Symphony Camp?

YOSA Summer Symphony Camp is open to any string player ages 8-18 with at least one year of experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass and any woodwind, brass, or percussion player ages 13-18 with at least two years of experience.
