Summer Symphony Camp Highlights

Camp Dates

June 12-23, 2017 (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Absences

It is important for musicians to be present at all orchestra rehearsals. If a musician must miss a day of camp, please complete the following form as far in advance as possible.

Eligibility

Any string player ages 8-18 with at least one year of experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass is eligible.

Any woodwind, brass, or percussion player ages 13-18 with at least two years of experience is eligible.

Camp Location

All campers will be on the campus of Saint Mary’s Hall for YOSA Summer Symphony Camp 2017.

Camp Cost

$465 (tuition assistance will be available to qualified applicants)

Register and pay a $75 deposit*. Registration is not complete until deposit is paid. If you already registered but have yet paid, click HERE.

Tuition Assistance

YOSA provides tuition assistance in the hope that no student will be turned away due to financial circumstances. Please email registration@yosa.org with any questions.

Camp Faculty and Staff

Camp faculty is made up of Conductors, Teachers, and Teaching Assistants.

Conductors are comprised of established professionals in music with several years of expertise in music education.

Teachers are comprised of established professionals with several years of expertise in their given discipline.

Teaching Assistants are comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from all over the United States seeking careers in music education.

Camp Administration and Staff is made up of YOSA Directors and Camp Volunteers.

YOSA Directors are leaders in youth organizations in Texas with years of experience in programming and logistics.

Camp Volunteers are YOSA musicians / YOSA alumni who have graduated from high school and are hand-picked by the Camp Administrators.
