Vienna is a city that breathes music. Home to Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Johann Strauss, it combines superb architecture and imperial grandeur with a dazzling array of cultural activities.

Budapest, once two separate cities, now spans the Danube River, linked by eight 200px-Vigadóbridges. With its hot springs, elegant concert halls, opera houses and fine buildings, it is considered by many to be the most beautiful city in Europe.

YOSA alumna Jennifer Berg received degrees from Indiana University and the New England Conservatory. During her education, she performed as a soloist with IU’s Chamber Orchestra and NEC’s Bach Ensemble and was awarded NEC’s Gillet Scholarship. Jennifer performed as English horn with the Boston Philharmonic and was the principal oboist of Discovery Ensemble. Jennifer was also named principal oboe for two consecutive years with the New York String Orchestra Seminar in Carnegie Hall under the direction of Jaime Loredo, was a member of the National Repertory Orchestra and attended the Aspen and Brevard Music Festivals. Recently, Jennifer was featured as a New Young Artist in the Victoria Bach Festival in addition to starting her very own chamber music series called ‘Q’. Jennifer is the San Antonio Symphony’s English horn player and utility oboist and is the principal oboist of the Mid-Texas Symphony.

COMPANION TOUR
Parents and others who want to accompany YOSA on tour are welcome. YOSA may determine the additional need of chaperones. YOSA will contact those participating on the Companion Tour only to offer a discount for those willing to have chaperone duties on tour. The companion tour will include all guided sightseeing tours and admittance to YOSA performances. During orchestra rehearsals on tour, the companion tour participants will have free time to explore.

We are offering the standard package companion tour for $4,299. There is an option to upgrade to single person occupancy for hotel accommodations for an additional $221.79. Standard package is payable in installments as follows:

REFUNDS
If a musician’s participation in the YOSA Philharmonic 2016 Vienna Tour is canceled, a Refund Request Form must be completed to receive a refund. Once YOSA has been notified of cancellation, a Refund Request Form will be sent via email. If a musician is dismissed from YOSA for a violation of YOSA’s conduct and expectation policies as outlined in the Musician’s Handbook, all moneys received are non-refundable. Eligible refunds will be determined based on the following timeline:

Before December 5, 2015: 100% of monthly payments, minus regular tuition expenses and deposits*

December 5, 2015 to February 5, 2016: 50% on monthly payments, minus regular tuition expenses and deposits*

February 6, 2016 to April 1, 2016: 25% of monthly payments, minus regular tuition expenses and deposits*

*All deposits are non-refundable.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is available through AIG Travel Guard.

ALTERNATE TRAVEL
The tour company, ACFEA, offers alternate travel arrangements for returning to San Antonio. If you would like to request alternate travel, please complete the Alternate Travel Request Form and return it to registration@yosa.org. It is encouraged to return this form as soon as possible to take advantage of best airfare rates. The deadline to return this form is March 11, 2016
