YOSA Trumpet Player Receives Award at Palo Alto Jazz Festival

Brandeis High School participated in the Palo Alto Jazz Festival on March 26. Alexis Cavazos, a sophomore at Brandeis and YOSA Philharmonic trumpet player, received the "Outstanding Soloist for the Entire Festival" award. On April 22, Alexis will participate in the Herald Trumpets for the Battle of the Bands. She will also be attending State Solo and Ensemble on May 29 in Austin. Congratulations to Alexis for her accomplishments.
