Cori Ballard Accepted into Voelcker Biomedical Science Academy

Cori Ballard, a cellist in the YOSA Philharmonic and a student at John Marshall High School, was accepted into the Voelcker Biomedical Science Academy. She is ranked 7th in a class size of 659 (top 1%).
The Voelcker Academy is a prestigious, three-year opportunity to engage in university-level biomedical research at the UT-Health Science Center campus. The program provides a unique opportunity for local high school students to experience and learn about the world of biomedical research in a manner that is usually reserved for graduate level students.
