2009-2010 Concerto Competition Winners

On Saturday, November 21, YOSA held the annual Concerto Competition at the Christ Episcopal Church. The competition is open to members of YOSA's Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras. All participants play an approved solo of their choice for a panel of judges. Congratulations to all participants of the 2009-2010 Concerto Competition.

The winner for the YOSA Philharmonic division is Peter Morales, cello. Peter performed Edouard Lalo's Cello Concerto in D Minor. His accompanist was Anna Hakobyan. Peter will perform his solo at the last Gold Series concert of the season, Aspects of Youth, on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Read Peter's bio.

The winner of the Concerto Competition for the Symphony division is Meg Tapley, flute. Meg performed Wilhelm Bernhardt Molique's Andante from Concerto in D Minor, Op. 64. Her accompanist was Elizabeth Tapley. Meg will perform her solo at the last City Series concert, Stage to Screen, on Sunday, May 9, 2010. Read Meg's bio.
