YOSA has been awarded a grant of $100,000 from Impact San Antonio to support the work of the Music Learning Center. The winner was announced Tuesday, October 27, after the five finalists gave a 10-minute presentation to Impact San Antonio members.

Impact San Antonio is a giving club of over 100 women who each contribute $1,000. Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for the one annual grant offering of $100,000. One organization is chosen as a finalist from five different categories including culture, education, environment, family and health and wellness.

The grant will support 2010/11 Music Learning Center classes. It represents approximately one third of the cost of the program for that year. YOSA extends the deepest thanks to each member of Impact San Antonio for this generous gift and to the seven Music Learning Center students who participated: Kathryn Arce, Krickett Bernal, Brian Hernandez, Raquel Moncada, Cesar Ramos, Itzel Ramos and Mark Trevino.
