Magaly Chocano

Magaly Chocano earned her BA in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of Texas, San Antonio. Originally from Madrid, Spain Magaly transferred to UTSA from St. Louis University Madrid Campus. Magaly served as the Director of International Alliance at the Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as the International Admission Representative, where she traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Europe recruiting students for the university and developed the first International Guidance Counselor Forum to attract new students.
In 2002, Magaly became the Director of International Alliance and Student Services at the campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design in Lacoste, France. She developed and implemented the first Lacoste Summer Seminar, a weeklong workshop for art educators in Provence.
Magaly has held positions with Bromley communications as a freelance producer, broadcast producer, and print producer. She has produced advertisements for numerous companies and organizations including Continental Airlines, Nestle, Astra Zeneca, and the San Antonio Symphony. Currently, she serves as CEO/President of Sweb Development and Sweb Apps, an interactive software development company that focuses primarily on web, mobile applications, and social media marketing. SwebApps was named Top 100 companies to watch in 2010 by Entrepreneur Magazine in June 2010.
