Amy Dameron Phipps

Amy Dameron Phipps is the Executive Director of the Zachry Foundation and Manager of Community Relations for Zachry Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining Zachry, she sustained a lengthy career in resource development for local nonprofits, including The Children's Shelter, SAMMinistries and The Winston School San Antonio.

A native of Detroit, she is a summa cum laude graduate of Trinity University and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was named Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the San Antonio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2006. Her current community activities include Leadership San Antonio and the Strengthening Families Issue Council of the United Way of San Antonio & Bexar County, and she has served on the boards of San Antonio Choral Society, St. Paul's Episcopal School, the Planned Giving Council of San Antonio and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Amy's love of music extends back to her preschool years as a four-year-old in her church's Cherub Choir and piano lessons beginning when she was six years old. She is a charter member of Voci di Sorelle, a 12-voice classical a cappella women's ensemble, sings with the parish choir of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and has performed in San Antonio Opera productions. Amy is married to David A. Phipps, executive director of the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic, and has two grown children.
