Maggie Raveneau

In 1992, Maggie Raveneau began cello lessons in Kerrville, TX becoming one of the first non-violin students in the area. Shortly thereafter, Maggie became the principal cellist for HCYO (Hill Country Youth Orchestra) and held that position until 2001 when her family moved to San Antonio, TX. At the age of 12, she became a founding member of Seraphim Strings Quartet that performed throughout Central Texas. Maggie has also participated in Symphony of the Hills.

In 2002, Maggie graduated from North East School of the Arts (NESA) double-majoring in Visual Arts and Instrumental Music. Maggie received her bachelor's degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in Classical Cello from Baylor University. She has performed with the Baylor Symphony, Temple Symphony, San Angelo Symphony and was a founding member of the Baylor Jazz String Quartet. During Maggie's college career, she studied cello, violin, viola, bass and French horn.

In August of 2006, she began her teaching career as Choral Director/Music History instructor at Harlandale High School where she helped the choir program grow from 30 to 85 students ranging in ages 14 to 19.

During the 2008/2009 school year, Maggie taught the Music Learning Center pilot program at the Good Samaritan Community Center and worked for the HCYO as a conductor and cello instructor. She was also the Private Strings Instructor for Saint Mary's Hall and had private studios in Kerrville, Boerne, Antonio Strad Violin and Terra Nova Violins.
