Nicte is a graduate from St. Mary's University and the University of Texas at San Antonio. She joined the staff of YOSA in June 2008. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and a Minor in Business Administration and a Master of Communication in 2010 from St. Mary's University.

Nicte is a former Children's Chorus of San Antonio choir member, where she gained a profound appreciation for music. Also fluent in Spanish, Nicte has written for La Prensa, The Chronicle and served as Director of Public Relations for the student-run San Antonio chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. In 2007, she completed an internship at the American Heart Association and has also gained experience in the KENS-5 newsroom through an Independent Study Mentorship program.
