Alexandra is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University, gaining a Bachelor's Degree in music Education and Performance (horn).

While she was in college, Alexandra worked for the university, coordinating the promotion and student registration for their summer music academy. She frequently worked for the Mid-Texas Symphony as a Stage Manager over a two-year period. Since graduating, she moved to Denton where she worked for Pender's Music Company. She joined YOSA in August 2008.
