YOSA and the San Antonio Symphony perform a side-by-side concert each year.
San Antonio Symphony Music Director Sebastian Lang-Lessing and Associate Conductor Akiko Fujimoto have guest conducted the YOSA Philharmonic in rehearsal and in concert. YOSA Music Director Troy Peters has guest conducted the San Antonio Symphony.
The winner of the annual YOSA Concerto Competition appears as a guest soloist with the San Antonio Symphony.

Kenneth Freudigman (principal cello) conducts the YOSA Symphony.
Martha Long (principal flute) conducts the YOSA Flute Choir.
YOSA regularly employs dozens of San Antonio Symphony musicians as teachers, sectional coaches, and audition judges for our orchestras. San Antonio Symphony musicians also serve on the faculty for YOSA Summer Symphony Camp and the Roosevelt Compact school partnership.
